About Clipus
Clipus is a desktop alternative to cloud clipping subscriptions — built by one developer who was tired of paying monthly for something a local app can do just as well.
Why a desktop app?
Most AI clipping tools are cloud subscriptions: upload your footage, wait in a render queue, pay every month whether you clipped one video or fifty. Clipus takes the opposite approach — download, cutting, captioning, and export all run locally on your own machine with ffmpeg and Whisper. Nothing you clip is ever uploaded to a server we operate, and a one-time lifetime license costs less than a single month of most cloud alternatives.
Who's behind it
Clipus is built and maintained by Muzammil Ijaz, a solo developer. That means direct support from the person who actually wrote the code — no support ticket queue, no outsourced help desk.
